Browsing through my new favorite social network Virb I stumbled upon a French band from the United States Of Paris (as their MySpace site declares), This Is Pop.

This (quite long) video We're Going Nowhere from This Is Fake DIY Records on Vimeo.

Check out their Virb page (not MySpace; it’s soo ugly, it makes me wanna re-paint the kitchen) or buy the self-titled mini-album This Is Pop.

I viciously stole a picture from the band's website of Julia Hummer & Too Many Boys. Her website juliahummer.com seems to be down. And apparently she got rid of the boys. Check out her MySpace.

A good excerpt of what the independent music scene of 2007 has to offer so far.

This is a petite indie-rock playlist. Very good driving or running music. Don't speed or overpace!

A rockish indie playlist of late 2006.

A mixture of high pitched Indie Rock and plinky, planky Indie Pop. You get the picture!

The name says it all. I threw in some reminiscent songs of my youth and garnished it with todays hottest Indie Rock.

This is my first approach to driving music. I lost it with Xiu Xiu, I know. Eh, what the hell? I like it and it's summer.

Can you mix classic Sixties Rock with todays Indie Rockers. Would they really get along? I think so. And I am convinced Janis would love James Jackson Toth.

A little something for the darker moods. Nothing more to say...
